Suicide bomber attacks St.Rita’s Catholic Church in Kaduna

A suicide bomber has hit the St. Rita’s Catholic Church in in Malali area of Kaduna, the capital of Kaduna state metropolis.

The bomber and an unconfirmed number of people are reported to have died after the incidence.

The impact of the explosion also damaged the church building, cars and other houses near the church.

Eye witness accounts say that reprisal attacks followed immediately after the bombing.Security officials are reported to have cordoned off the area, while officials of the State Emergency Management Agency, the Red Cross have been evacuating the dead bodies and injured victims.

The two reverend fathers officiating the mass are reported to have sustained serious injuries.
