DBanj, over the weekend, won the 2012 MOBO Award for Best African Act.
The 2012 edition of MOBO Award-an award set to honour Music Of Black Origin (MOBO)-held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, over the weekend.
The 31 year old artiste was nominated alongside some of Africa’s finest artistes such as Amadou & Mariam, Cabo Snoop, Camp Mulla, Sarkodie, Fally Ipupa, Fatoumata Diawara, P-Square, Spoek Mathambo and The Very Best.
The award which is D’Banj’s first MOBO, sees him join past Nigerian winners 2face Idibia (2007), 9ice (2008) and Nneka (2009).
