Davido Wanted For Assault, As Police AIG Issues Arrest Warrant!… Singer denies report!

Davido The Davido Trivia Service

What looked like a forgotten issue is back and now it looks more serious than it ever was, as we gather that the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) has issued a warrant for the arrest of popular singer and rave of the moment Davido.

This is coming after it seemed the dust had settled on the assault charge brought against Davido a few weeks ago, by a taxi cab driver, Femi Ajibola, alleging he was beaten up by Davido and his car seized also. The incident was said to have occurred when the driver took Davido’s girlfriend who goes by the name Susan and her friends to visit the singer in his home, there was a altercation between Davido and Susan his girlfriend, the driver was said to have been concerned for the girl and intervened this he alleged angered Davido, which resulted to  his (Femi) being beaten up.

The matter was said to have been reported at the Bar beach police station, but all efforts to get Davido to report his side of the story has been unsuccessful, due to some power play by the rich kid’s family. We gather from Punch Newspapers that the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) has ordered the immediate arrest of Davido.

Davido however denies this report in a statement released by his management, who claim that Davido is only being blackmailed and nothing of the incident involved the singer:

I want to assure all my beloved fans and friends that, I am not wanted by the police and no officer in the Nigerian police gave an order for my arrest. I went to the police some weeks ago to give a statement and cleared my name. I did not beat up any taxi driver and the lady that hired the taxi driver and all those that are involved in this matter have made statements to the police and none of them mentioned my name except the taxi driver who claims that a large sum of money was missing in his taxi, in fact the lady in question stated that she was not beaten by anyone and that nobody assaulted the taxi driver. This is a case of blackmail, and I have resolved not to succumb to any blackmail for money. And to all those that are involved in this conspiracy to bring me down, I want to remind you that God Almighty himself got me to where I am today in my music career and you will not succeed in your devilish efforts to bring me down.

Adedeji David Adeleke, aka Davido

Davido is presently in the US for some video shoots, many describing his timely absence as a ploy to evade the said arrest. As the matter stands we can only await his return to the country and see what action the police takes.
